We had a busy day! We walked down to the National Museum of Natural Science which is about a ten minute walk from the hotel.
The museum was fun and very educational. Dave was fascinated with the dino bones and I by the Hope Diamond. Ok, ok, there were many other things that grabbed our attention too :)
After several hours of perusing the museum, we decided to walk around the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. They are even more spectacular then what we see in movies and on television.
Next thing we knew, the day was over and we headed back to the hotel by rickshaw. After dinner, we took a drive around many of Washington's landmarks at night (I forgot my camera, so sorry no pics) but here's an idea of what we saw:
